The present invention relates to a method for controlling torque distribution of front/rear wheels of an electric four wheel drive (E-4WD) hybrid vehicle and aims at providing a method for controlling torque distribution which is capable of increasing the running performance and stability of the vehicle by optimal torque distribution to front wheels and rear wheels according to the difference in wheel speed between the front wheels and the rear wheels, drivers acceleration will, vehicle handling, etc. in the E-4WD hybrid vehicle. To achieve the aim, disclosed is the method for controlling torque distribution of front/rear wheels of an E-4WD hybrid vehicle, comprising the following steps: determining one driving mode between a fuel efficiency optimizing mode and a 4-wheel drive (4WD) mode based on the information about vehicle conditions and the information on vehicle handling inputted by a driver; calculating total torque values required by the driver based on the information about vehicle conditions and the information on vehicle handling inputted by the driver; calculating a torque value of the real wheels for 4WD based on the information about vehicle conditions and the inputted information on vehicle handling if the information about vehicle conditions and the inputted information on vehicle handling meet a condition for the 4WD mode so the 4WD mode is determined as a driving mode; calculating a torque value of the front wheels for 4WD based on the total torque values required by the driver and the torque value of the real wheels for 4WD; calculating a torque value of a front wheel engine for 4WD based on the torque value of the front wheels for 4WD; and controlling torque distribution of an engine for a front-wheel drive and a motor for a rear-wheel drive according to the calculated torque value of the front wheels for 4WD and torque value of the real wheels for 4WD. |
