PURPOSE:To let both abrasion resistance and on-ice performance be satisfied by making a tread section out of foamed rubber where styrene butadien block polymer and foaming agent are blended at least, with one kind of rubber content, and concurrently specifying its foaming rate. CONSTITUTION:The tread section of the pneumatic tire is formed out of foamed rubber with its foaming rate of 3 to 30%, where 5 to 30 parts of styrene butadien block polymer (SB resin) by weight and foaming agent are blended to 100 parts of rubber content by weight, which is selected out of a group of natural rubber and synthetic rubber in dien systems. SB resin has a melting point of 120 to 210 deg., and an average grain size of 30 to 50mum, and the SB resin the styrene portion of which is 40 to 80%, is used. Besides, in this pneumatic tire, its on-ice performance is enhanced by dewatering a water film 2 with foamed rubber over the ice, and scratching the ice using the SB resin, and concurrently abrasion resistance is prevented from being lowered. |
