PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a decorative coating material which can prevent the cracking of formed coating films, and to obtain a decorative coating material which can express a natural multicolor appearance whose colors delicately change. SOLUTION: This decorative coating material containing a binder (A), grainy aggregate (B) having an average particle diameter of 10 to 1,000μm, thin flaky aggregate (C) having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 5 mm and an average thickness of 1 to less than 200μm, and thick flaky aggregate (D) having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 20 mm and an average thickness of 0.2 to 5μm as essential components, wherein 100 pts.wt. of the solid content of the binder (A) is mixed with 100 to 20,000 pts.wt. of the grainy aggregate (B), 1 to 500 pts.wt. of the thin flaky aggregate (C), and 1 to 500 pts.wt. of the thick flaky aggregate (D).
