摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can suppress increase in a cost of manufacturing and complicated processes, and can suppress light leakage failure caused by peeling of an alignment layer due to friction between the alignment layer and a columnar spacer, regardless of an aligning method.SOLUTION: One of an alignment film 8 as a first alignment film and an OC film 7 as a second alignment film is a transparent resin film having a strength equal to or higher than that of a columnar spacer 9. The columnar spacer 9 is fixed to a TFT array substrate 21 where the transparent resin film is not formed. A gap between a CF substrate 20 where the transparent resin film is formed and the TFT array substrate 21 is maintained by bringing a top end of the columnar spacer 9 into contact with the transparent resin film of the CF substrate 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
