PURPOSE:To relieve the load of a power supply of a reception terminal equipment for data communication by activating a main power supply for a reception terminal equipment only when data are sent. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary power supply 12 always drives a tuner 10 and a starting device 11 to supply a minimum power. The starting device 11 monitors a signal received by the tuner 10 and when the reception of a synchronous signal is decided, no output is produced and when a code corresponding to a control signal area is received, it is identified to activate the main power supply 13. Thus, the entire power consumption is reduced. Furthermore, when the main power supply is active, a file identification signal is read and in the case of data having a signal corresponding to a code selected in advance, the data main body is stored in a storage device 16, thereby selecting only required data. |
