PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book-end which can be used not only for small-sized books but for big size books, and whose upper space can also be used effectively, if necessary. SOLUTION: In the book-end consisting of a base board 2 and a side board 4 set perpendicularly on the base board 2, a height adjustment board 6 is set rotatably on the top part of the side board 4, by rotating which upwards, the book-end is to have a high controlling surface height and is to become a combination book-end which can have a shelf board 12 placed on the top part of a pair of the book-ends.
