A position adjusting apparatus of a front end part of a coil is provided to prevent facilities around the coil from being damaged and enable a coil centering operation to be conducted easily by adjusting the position of a front end part of the coil after a coil is transferred by a crane and placed on skids. A position adjusting apparatus of a front end part of a coil(11) comprises: a coil rotation part(20) having a drive roller which is positioned inside skids(12) and rotated by driving a motor, and vertical cylinders(24) that adjust height of the drive roller, wherein a coil is placed on the skids; a coil contact part(30) having a contact roller positioned at a front side of the coil, a horizontal cylinder(33) that moves the contact roller forward and backward relative to the coil, and a horizontal cylinder control part that controls the operation of the horizontal cylinder; and a front end sensing part(50) having a touch plate that is positioned to be parallel to the contact roller and lifts when the touch plate contacts a front end part(13) of the coil, and a motor control part that controls driving of the motor by sensing a change in the position of the touch plate.
