PURPOSE:To enable a fast and stable automatic discrimination by performing a waveform processing of a lead line width for DIP type parts detected with an optoelectric sensor. CONSTITUTION:As a lead 1 of a DIP type part passes between a projector 6 and a photo detector 7 of an optoelectric sensor 3 set on a rail 4 on which the DIP type part is conveyed at a fixed speed, a square wave of a transistor-transistor level (TTL) detected in the output of an photoelectric amplifier 5 depending on the presence of the lead thereof. The square wave is inverted to form a triangular wave output waveform 15 proportional to the pulse width. The triangular wave output 15 shows a non-cyclic waveform for a rejected product. To discriminate the difference between the waveforms, trigger signals 16 and 17 are employed to set the counts of a accepted product for the criterion level 19 whereby the quality of parts can be judged by comparing both signals. |
