PURPOSE: To obtain subscriber terminal equipment in which continuity is given to a synchronization terminal connected to an existing device, a service at a data speed not identified yet is attained, and its function is changed proper to the needs. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber terminal B.NT2 includes a switching matrix MC, access groups G1, G2 and a power supply AL. Each access group is connected via a control link LC to a processor PR to execute a signal transmission and monitor processing function for four access modules MA. The power supply AL is connected to the matrix MC and the access group. Each input and output of ports P1-P8 connecting to the asynchronous interface is connected to a corresponding access module.
