PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a relatively low-cost multilingual meal navigation system enabling an overseas tourist to visit a desired restaurant without reservation.SOLUTION: An information provision server 1 uses a database server 2 to manage cuisine explanation data items which are described in multiple languages, reads cuisine explanation data, which is described about a cuisine, which is designated by a handheld terminal device 5, in a language corresponding to language information, from the database server 2, and transmits the cuisine explanation data to the handheld terminal device 5. According to an application program, the handheld terminal device 5 receives the cuisine explanation data, which is concerned with language information representing a user's language and a cuisine designated by a user manipulation, from the information provision server 1. Based on the received cuisine explanation data, a cuisine explanation in the user's language is displayed, and a visible code for use in ordering the cuisine whose cuisine explanation is displayed is displayed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
