PURPOSE: A mobile communication system for transmitting information between terminals and a method therefor are provided to allow a user or an information provider to transmit PIM(Personal Information Management) data to a corresponding terminal through a terminal. CONSTITUTION: An originator terminal(100) transmits PIM data to a destination terminal(200)(102), an information management server(300) checks terminal information and PIM data format information of the destination terminal(200)(104). The information management server(300) converts a PIM data format according to the terminal information and the PIM data format information of the destination terminal(200)(106) and then transmits the PIM data of the converted PIM data format to the destination terminal(200)(108). The destination terminal informs the information management server(300) that transmission of the PIM data of the PIM data format has been completed(110). The information management server(300) confirms the origination terminal that the PIM data has been transmitted to the destination terminal(200)(112).
