PURPOSE:To simplify plotting by applying display priority order between a depth value and a simple surface model to each simple surface model and plotting each simple surface model in consideration of the display priority order. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular parallelopiped A and a tape-like V-shaped B groove are composed as a single surface model C, and in the case of plotting the surface model C, high display priority order 1 is applied to the V-shaped groove B and low display priority order 2 is applied to the rectangular parallelopiped A. Although the V-shaped groove B is plotted at first and then the rectangular parallelopiped A is plotted, the display priority order of the overlapped part of the rectangular parallelopiped A to the V-shaped groove B is considered prior to hidden-surface processing, the overlapped part is not practically plotted and the surface mode C is finally plotted. Consequently, modeling can be sharply simplified. |
