PURPOSE:To improve controllability by arranging a recessed part in a back face part of an iron golf club, setting a part or the whole of a toe side line to regulate an inner peripheral shape of the recessed part as a straight line, and forming a plane containing this straight line part and a plane containing the shaft center line passing through almost the center of a hosel in parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:In an iron golf club, a recessed part 7 is bored in a back face part 3 of a head 1, and among lines to regulate an inner peripheral shape of the recessed part 7, a part or the whole of a line to regulate the toe side is set as a straight line. When an extension line of this straight line is formed as a recessed part toe side line Y, a plane P2 containing the recessed part toe side line Y and a plane P1 containing the shaft axis X passing through almost the center of a hosel 2, are formed so as to always become parallel to each other in spite of a change in the count number of iron golf clubs. Thereby, since more mass can be effectively distributed to a position where a vertical distance is most separated from the shaft axis, an erroneous shooting can be prevented.
|
