<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the recording capacity of a recording part that records data for determining the cause of the occurrence of an abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle drive control device comprises a buffer that is set at each of a plurality of storage items different in sampling cycles and constitutes the recording part, and a recording means 92 that takes a sample of a variable indicating the state of a vehicle that changes in accordance with the traveling of the vehicle at a sampling cycle set at each storage item. Since the buffer is set at each storage item and stores the variable as archive data at each buffer, a frame is formed at each storage item. Accordingly, even if the sampling cycle is differed depending on each storage item, the recording capacity of the recording part that is constituted of the buffers can be reduced.
