<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line conversion apparatus which performs line conversion between an NRD guide and a strip line, the transmission line conversion apparatus that is reduced in the reflection loss, and is compact. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission line conversion unit 30 performs the line conversion between the NRD guide 20, comprising sandwiching a dielectric 20d between a pair of ground conductor plates 11 and 12 and the microstrip line 50 comprising sandwiching a dielectric substrate 42 between a strip conductor 51 and a ground conductor 41. The transmission line conversion unit 30 has a probe, including a strip conductor 31 connected to the strip conductor 51 and extending therefrom to be electromagnetically coupled to the dielectric 20d, and a strip conductor 32 connected to the ground conductor 41 and extending therefrom to be coupled electromagnetically to the dielectric 20d. The strip conductors 31 and 32 are formed substantially symmetric about the width-directional center cross section of the NRD guide 20, and also substantially along the direction of the electric field of LSM mode of propagating high-frequency signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
