CONSTITUTION:The distance between the outermost part and the end 511 of an outlet total reflection mirror 51 of a laser mode formed of a total reflection mirror 50 and the outlet mirror 51 is specified to be 0.55-0.9 times of the shorter size of the discharge space section. At this time, the beams reflected in the end E of the outlet total reflection mirror 51 are further reflected in the F of the total reflection mirror 50 to be externally radiated from G-H drawing a line h through another line f. These lines f, h fix the outermost part of the mode region of an unstable type resonator composed of the outlet total reflection mirror 51. Besides, the beams between the end 511 of the outlet total reflection mirror 51 and the line h are emitted as the laser beams 8.
