The cage has a mounting-leg (2), a floor (1), and two lateral vertical walls (5) and two vertical walls, respectively defining a frontage (3) and a rear side. The frontage has an access door (11) and a door opening (7) with two vertical posts and a door sill at a distance from the floor. A bar moves on the frontage to take two stable positions and allows the access door being opened to pass the neck of an aquatic bird under the bar. The bar liberates a passage delimited by the door opening in one stable position and arranges itself parallel to the doorsill in another position.
