An input system designed to easily scroll and operate features on a display screen for electronic devices such as, for example, cell phones, PDA's, mice, laptops, computer keyboards, personal media players (PMPs) (such as, for example, personal audio players (e.g. MP3 players) or persona] video players), remote controls, stereo components, televisions, musical instruments (e.g. musical keyboards), etc. is provided. The input system utilizes a scroll belt and may therefore be implemented into an electronic device having a significantly thinner form-factor. A pressure-type button is provided inside a path of the scroll belt.
