PURPOSE:To manufacture a recording sheet of improved bonding properties with a base, resistance to water, printing quality and the like by laminating successively a fixing tank for a dye composed mainly of a quaternary ammonium base polymer and an ink absorbed layer at least on one face of a base. CONSTITUTION:The given quantity of a water-soluble polymer and a water dispersing polymer are diluted into water to prepare coating liquid for an ink absorbed layer. A quaternary ammonium base polymer is dissolved in a solvent such as water, methyl alcohol or the like to prepare coating liquid for a dye fixed layer. The coating liquid for the dye fixed layer is applied for coating at least on one face of a base such as a high grade sheet, a coated sheet or a plastic film and dried thereon to form a dye fixed layer. Then, the coating liquid for the ink absorbed layer is applied for coating on the dye fixed layer and dried thereon, and the ink absorbed layer is laminated thereon to manufacture a recording sheet. The quaternary ammonium salt polymer can be used as simple or a mixture of two kinds or more, or a copolymer composed of quaternary ammonium salt, styrene and acrylic acid ester can be used. |
