PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide air-blowing Bincho charcoal (high-quality charcoal made of oak) capable of purifying a water tank, by simply attaching the charcoal to a tip of an air hose of an air pump afterward. SOLUTION: This air-blowing Bincho charcoal 10 has one or more air holes 19 for blowing the air on its cell membrane. Each of the air holes 19 is formed into such a deep hole that its diameter is equal to that of a cylindrical air-blowing joint 21 engaged with the Bincho charcoal 10 in the direction approximately perpendicular to annual rings of the charcoal. The air hole 19 is engaged with the air-blowing joint 21 and unnecessary spaces of the air hole 19 are filled with a silicone ring material and a flange 22, so that the joint 21 is fastened to the hole 19. The air-blowing joint 21 has the flange 22 so as to prevent itself from being excessively inserted into the air hole 19 and to protect spaces between itself and the Bincho charcoal 10 engaged therewith. The air-blowing joint 21 is so structured that one of its ends to which the air is supplied is engaged with the tip of the air hose 31 joined to the air pump positioned on a side from which the air is supplied.
