PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to detect a failure generated in an image conversion device for converting an equal distance projection image into a center projection image. SOLUTION: The image conversion device 100 for converting the equal distance projection image into the central projection image includes a test pattern output circuit 130 which outputs a predetermined test pattern; a write-in control circuit 150 which writes the equal distance projection image and the test pattern into a memory 160 for image conversion; a reference coordinate memory, 180 which associates the position of a pixel of conversion origin with the position of a pixel of conversion destination; a read-out control circuit 170 which refers to the reference coordinate memory 180 and reads the equal distance projection image and the test pattern from the memory 160 for image conversion; and a test pattern detection device 190 which detects the propriety of the read test pattern.
