Disclosed are a terminal for performing communication by using fingerprints and a method therefor, a server and a method therefor. The terminal comprises: a fingerprint processing module, a processing module, a storage module and a communication module; the fingerprint processing module is used for acquiring fingerprint information; the processing module is used for performing verification according to the fingerprint information through a network to obtain a fingerprint telephone number bound to the fingerprint information and for binding the fingerprint telephone number to the terminal; the storage module is used for storing the fingerprint telephone number obtained by the processing module; and the communication module is used for reading the fingerprint telephone number in the storage module to perform a communication function. The present invention requires no use of a physical medium subscriber identity card and can perform the communication by using the telephone number acquired through the network and bound to the fingerprint information.
