PURPOSE:To uniformly remove a rolled form on a sheet material by arranging a means for detecting the outside diameter of a taking-up roller for the sheet material and adjusting the magnitude of the slack degree according to the magnitude of the rolled form on the sheet material, in a rolled form removing device for the sheet material. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned device, two pairs of rollers 7, 9, 8, and 10 are arranged on the upstream and downstream sides, and the peripheral speed of each roller 7, 9 on the upstream side in the direction for transporting a sheet material is made larger than that of each roller 8, 10 on the downstream side or the peripheral speed of each roller 8, 10 on the downstream side is made less for a certain time than that of each roller 7, 9 on the upstream side, or the rollers 8 and 10 are stopped or revolved reversely, and a slack in the opposite direction to a rolled form is formed on the sheet material 1. Further, each outside diameter of the taking-up rollers 1a, 1b, and 1c for a taken-up sheet taken up in a roll form is detected by the reflection type sensors 13 and 14, and the quantity of slack of the sheet material 1 is varied continuously by varying the number of revolution of a pair of rollers 7, 9, 8, and 10 for removing the rolled form.
