Method and device for generating a non-linear interaction between two electromagnetic oscillations, for example a laser radiation and a microwave radiation, in a non-linear optical medium, in which one oscillation passes through the medium in a zig-zag shape and the other penetrates the non-linear medium in two opposed directions in such a way that a matching of the phases of the two oscillations promoting the interaction is achieved both in the incoming and in the outgoing sections of the zig-zag-shaped path.
