PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for playing permitting to play a wind instrument suitably without emitting noise. SOLUTION: The actuator 20 for performance is attached to a mouthpiece 14 of a saxophone 12 and is used for playing the saxophone 12, and includes a passage which supplies the air supplied from outside to the mouthpiece 14 of the saxophone 12, and an artificial muscle actuator 60 which adjusts a flow rate of the air flowing in the passage, and the artificial muscle actuator 60 includes artificial muscle 64 which is changed in shape by supplying an electric signal, and adjusts the air flow rate by changing a cross-sectional area of the passage 65 by the shape change of the artificial muscle 64.
