The mechanism processes liquid, particularly mixed manure, having a tool for disintegrating solid objects contained in it. It incorporates a centrifugal pump (30) delivering the manure, in which the disintegrating devices are contained, typically comprising a rotary tool driven by the pump shaft. The pump rotor can form the tool, working with a stationary component, e.g. a knife protruding into the free space between the inner rotor blade ends.
