PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing device and an image formation apparatus which can achieve high image quality regardless of the quantity of the output number for each job.SOLUTION: In an optical writing device for performing optical writing by increasing a drive current amount of an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) every time the cumulative light emitting time reaches a preset threshold (100, 200, 300 or the like) for each OLED, for the OLED having a threshold in a job execution period, the drive current is increased in one of the job start and job completion having the cumulative light emitting time closer to the threshold instead of the threshold, thereby a drive current amount (graph 1101) closer to a drive current amount (graph 1102) for making the OLED emit light with a desired light emitting amount can be supplied to the OLED, and degradation in the image quality can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
