<p>Two lateral walls 2 and 3 of a roll container have the upper portions of front, vertical, hollow, frame members thereof bent forward to form bulges 11 which, in the event of excessive laterally inward forces on the walls 2 and 3, bear on a front gate 5 to deter excessive inward bending of the walls 2 and 3. The bulges 11 also act as protective bumpers. Wire mesh infills 8 of the walls 2 and 3 terminate short of those upper portions to provide hand-holes 12. The gate 5 is mounted on the lateral wall 3 by way of upper (13) and lower hinges having a common vertical hinge pin 22 extending within the adjacent vertical, hollow, frame member 20 of the frame 9 of the gate 5. <IMAGE></p> |
