<p>A modular panel (50) for forming part of an enclosure for an appliance of the type which is manufacturable in a plurality of sizes requiring one or more modular panels (50). The panel (50) includes a main planar section (52) having first and second substantially parallel edges. First and second flanges (76, 78) are integrally formed with the main section (52) and extend rearwardly from the first and second edges, respectively. The second hinge elements (88, 90) are configured to engage the first hinge elements (84, 86) of a second modular panel (50) in a manner which causes the first (98) and second axes (96) to become coincident and allows pivotal movement of the two panels (50) with respect to one another about the coincident axes until the outer surfaces (80, 82) of the flanges (76, 78) are in confronting relation with one another. Interacting means are provided for interconnecting the confronting outer surfaces (80, 82) with one another.</p> |
