PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap check method in which generation of false information is prevented by taking the roll over of a pattern into account especially at a corner part of a coating. SOLUTION: At an opening 12 of a solder resist 11, a new side 13A is drawn while taking account of the margin L of the solder resist stretching from a side 13. A corner formed by the new side 13A is rounded by an inscribing circular arc 14. Deficiency of gap is checked by adding an extra part H due to redrawing of the side and an extra part J due to rounding of the corner to the originally specified gap G and comparing the sum with a lowest reference value.
