<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air conditioner for a body capable of switching cooling and heating according to a place, environment and physical features, performing pinpoint cooling or heating to the body, and adjusting a temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This compact air conditioner includes a Peltier element kept into contact with the body directly or indirectly through clothes such as a shirt, and a controller connected with the Peltier element and supplying electric power from a power source to the Peltier element, and performing pinpoint cooling or heating to a prescribed part of the body by Peltier effect obtained by applying DC voltage to the Peltier element.
