PURPOSE: A multi-beam laser scanning unit and a method for compensating beam deflections are provided to simplify an assembly operation of the laser scanning unit by aligning plural laser diodes in one row with small pitches. CONSTITUTION: A multi-beam laser scanning unit includes a plurality of laser diodes(120) and a rotary multiple-mirror(130). The laser diodes emit a laser beam. The rotary multiple-mirror deflects the laser beam emitted from the plural laser diodes to a scanning direction of a photosensitive material. The plural diodes are arranged in one row such that a line connecting focusing points formed by the laser beam is perpendicular to the photosensitive material.
