<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a stacked optical retardation plate with which two sheets of optical retardation plates having face flatness ≤0.5 micrometers are stuck to each other nearly in parallel. <P>SOLUTION: After a first optical retardation plate in which a high-molecular liquid crystal layer is arranged in the gap of a first liquid crystal cell is formed, a second liquid crystal cell is formed by using one substrate of the first retardation plate in common, and by arranging a high-molecular liquid crystal layer in the gap of the second liquid crystal cell, the stacked optical retardation plate in which two high-molecular liquid crystal layers are held among three sheets of the substrates is manufactured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
