PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the S/N ratio of a normalized fluorescent image and stably perform a normaling operation for the fluorescent image by dividing the fluorescent image based on the fluorescence which is emitted from an observation part by irradiation with exciting light, by the normalized image based on the re-radiated light emitted from the observation part. SOLUTION: In the normalized fluorescent image forming means 403, the narrow-band fluorescent image picked up by an image pickup element 311 is divided by the wide-band fluorescent image picked up by an image pickup element 306 to calculate a normalizing operation value and the normalized fluorescent image is formed by an image synthesizing device 405. Low-pass filter processing is applied to the standardized image obtained before division is performed by a low-pass filter circuit 317. Since the pixel value of the wide- band fluorescent image can be two-dimensionally averaged by this processing, the pixel value of the image becoming a denominator at the time of division is hard to become a minus value, a zero value or a value near to zero and the S/N ratio of the normalized fluorescent image is enhanced. |
