PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an investigation time by receiving the influence of the delay ACK of the TCP of an initiator when the initiator investigates the plurality of LUs of a storage by iSCSI communication. SOLUTION: When a host computer 106a or a storage system 101a is set as an initiator and a storage system 101a or a storage system 101b is set as a target, the initiator investigates the LU of the target by simultaneously issuing SCSI Inquiry LUN#a and #b as investigation commands 302a of the number of delay ACK or its multiple to the target when deciding that the delay ACK is two or more. When receiving SCSI Data-In as an investigation result 303a in response to the investigation command from the target, the initiator simultaneously transmits a reception response 304a. Thus, when the delay ACK of the TCP of the initiator is two or more, the investigation commands are simultaneously issued to the LU of the number of delay ACK so that its response can be prevented from being affected by the delay ACK.
