PURPOSE:To provide a double glazing useful for the vehicle door window with the protection of the peripheral edge face, sealing performance and strength remarkably improved while reducing the opaque part to the utmost, having sufficient durability and withstanding even the lifting action by integrally engaging the tip of a projecting member extending from a spacer with a cap to cover the end face of the peripheral edge of the so-called double glazing. CONSTITUTION:A space 11 is formed between the peripheral edges of the inner and outer glass sheets 2 and 3 through a spacer 4, the outside of the spacer having a protrusion 10 is sealed by a sealant 7, both sheets are welded, the tips 6 of plural projecting members 5 piercing the spacer 4 and sealant 7 are provided at the entire peripheral edge, the tip 7 and an engaging part 9 on the rear are engaged, and a cap 8 is annularly abutted and stuck on the face of the peripheral edge. A double glazing for the vehicle window is formed in this way. |
