PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition using for production of a cosmetic stick by dispersing a specific amount of a specific dibenzylidenesorbitol acetal(DBS) compound into an organic liquid geling by the DBS compound. SOLUTION: This composition contains an organic liquid (selected from polyalkylene glycols with an 2-6C alcohol and an 1-4C alkylene) geling by DBS compounds and at least 0.5 wt.% of a DBS compound of dibenzylidenesorbitol or the like dispersing into the organic liquid, and the above-stated DBS compound includes a water content more than 2 wt.% (preferably 2.2-3.5 wt.%). The above-stated DBS compound is selected from condensation products, diacetals, of aromatic aldehydes selected from a group consisting of benzaldehyde and benzaldehydes having 1-3 substituents selected from an 1-4C alkyl, a halogen and an 3-5C alkylene forming a carbon cyclic ring with the adjacent carbon atom on the unsaturated hydrocarbon ring.
