The device has a lower beam (1) situated at a distance of 15 to 20 centimeter from the ground with a response time of 100 milliseconds for detecting a child who crawls and moves forward softly. An upper beam (2) is installed at 45 centimeter from the ground with a response time of 40 milliseconds and permits to detect the child who runs. The response time of the beam (2) is validated by simultaneous cut of the two beams.
