FIELD: aeronautical engineering and non-ferrous metallurgy; production of titanium alloys used for manufacture of parts for aero-space engineering and rocketry. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed titanium-based alloy is used for manufacture of spherical balloons, pipe lines and units working at minus temperatures. Proposed titanium-based alloy contains the following constituents, mass-%: aluminum, 4.0-6.0; manganese, 0.002-0.2; iron, 0.01-0.2; nickel, 0.005-0.2; zirconium, 0.001-0.2; silicon, 0.01-0.1; nitrogen, 0.005-0.04; carbon, 0.01-0.06; tin, 2.0-3.0; oxygen, 0.01-0.12; hydrogen, 0.003-0.008; the remainder being titanium.
