FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating and preventing the loss of bony tissue and/or increased development of bony tissue. For this purpose it is necessary to apply 15-lipoxygenase inhibitors. These molecules could be introduced either individually or in combination with agents that inhibit the resorption of bony tissue or additional agents that regulate calcium resorption out of bony tissue or increase the accumulation of bony tissue.
