PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous polyimide film for simplifying production processes.SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous polyimide film includes: a first step of forming a coating film that comprises a polyimide precursor solution prepared by dissolving a polyimide precursor and an organic amine compound in an aqueous solvent and that contains resin particles incapable of dissolving in the polyimide precursor solution, and then drying the coating film to form a coat comprising the polyimide precursor and the resin particles; and a second step of heating the coat to imidize the polyimide precursor to form a polyimide film, including a process of removing the resin particles.SELECTED DRAWING: None
