PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press system that can determine an eccentricity failure with high accuracy, and to provide a method for controlling a press system.SOLUTION: The press system includes: a detection part for detecting a press load in pressing a work; a calculation part for calculating an amount of eccentricity of slide based on the press load detected by the detection part; a determination part for determining if the press load detected by the detection part exceeds a permissible value of press load based on the amount of eccentricity calculated by the calculation part; and a notification part for notifying a failure based on the determination result by the determination part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
