<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development machine without easily altering a means for securing compatibility provided in the development machine. <P>SOLUTION: A step 83 is formed along an insertion direction on the upper face of the cover 51 of the development machine 22. A gap is formed in the inside of the step 83, and communicates with a toner chamber 52. The classification of toner inside the development machine 22 can be discriminated by existence or absence of the step 83 to secure compatibility with the apparatus body. When the step 83 is cut off to be enforcedly inserted into the apparatus body, an opening communicating with the outside is formed since the gap is formed, and the toner is leaked to cause trouble of the apparatus body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
