PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase throughput while sending and receiving data described in a standard language.

SOLUTION: This controller includes an XML data input/output interface part 113 for receiving command data described in XML; an XML data analysis part 114 for analyzing the command data: and an MFP control part 121 which, if the XML data analysis part 114 detects from the command data an element whose control code is defined in a tag, implements a process previously associated with the control code defined in the tag of the element.
