<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents a positional deviation in a width direction orthogonal to a paper feeding direction when a length in the width direction (direction orthogonal to the paper feeding direction) of a printing paper sheet or an original paper sheet has an error (difference) to a fixed form size, and in the case of image formation to a rear face of the printing paper sheet through 180-degree rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (1) with the function of forming images to front and rear both faces of the printing paper sheet has a paper cassette which can detect an actual length of the printing paper sheet in the width direction that is a direction orthogonal to the paper feeding direction, a storage means (20) for storing the fixed form size of the printing paper sheet, and a control means (10).
