A porous artificial soil (10) for plant culture obtained by essentially mixing (i) at least one water-soluble urethane prepolymer (23), (ii) at least one structural component (11) selected from an organic matter, an inorganic matter and soil; and (iii) gas, with an aqueous dispersive medium, said soil containing said structural component in a predetermined concentration; and a method of manufacturing the same.
