<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system allowing printer server-level print job management without worrying about limited storage capacity at a printer side or without providing an additional host device to function as a print server having a large-capacity storage means. <P>SOLUTION: The print system comprises: a host device issuing a print request; and a printer implementing print in accordance with the print request. The host device 2 comprises: a data generation means generating print data; a data storage means storing the print data; and a transmission means transmitting inherent information indicative of the host device 2 or print job information including inherent user information on a user to the printer 1 before transmitting the print data stored in the data storage means to the printer 1.
