The wed severing machine comprises of a main support (5a) upon which the tool holders (5b) are mounted. The tool holder retain a tooth element (5). The machine is formed in two halves (2) with a separation zone (S) located between the two sections parallel to the advancing direction. A reference roller is located behind the support halves.
