PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and an apparatus for sticking a carcass reinforcing ply which are adaptable to the manufacturing means necessary for any type of manufacture, without the modification of a molding drum. SOLUTION: The method comprises sticking a carcass reinforcing ply C to a cylindrical rotating drum D of a certain radius R<SB>1</SB>as a whole having a first sticking surface equipped with molding elements P arranged at intervals in the axial direction by winding the carcass reinforcing ply around the rotating drum. The reinforcement ply C is fed to the first sticking surface of the rotating drum at a linear velocity practically equal to the circumferential velocity of the first sticking surface, while a pressure in the radial direction is applied to the reinforcement ply C along the meridian line M practically equal to positions at which the reinforcement ply is arranged in contact with the first sticking surface by means of a pressing roller 10 having a deformable profile.
