<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image falsification detecting apparatus capable of detecting the presence/absence of falsification by comparing embedded data with falsification detecting data calculated again from image data other than a lowest-order bit plane even when the image data are falsified. <P>SOLUTION: The image falsification detecting apparatus for falsification applied to an optional position of image data includes: a first memory 2-1 for storing block data in units of main scanning X pixels×subscanning Y pixels×gradation Z bits, a pixel counter 2-2 for recognizing an image processing block position; a second memory 2'-2 for storing an LSB bit plane; a third memory 2-3 for storing data of each pixel other than the LSB by an amount of X×Y pixels; an error detection redundant data generator 2-4; a third memory 2-5 for storing the result of the generation of the error detection redundant data; an embedding unit 2-6 for assigning the error detection redundant data to a bit plane in units of the main scanning X pixels×subscanning Y pixels; and an arranging unit 2-7 for combining the error detection redundant data with original pixel data other than the LSB and restoring the combined result to the original image data in units of the main scanning X pixels×subscanning Y pixels×gradation Z bits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
